Object storage limits

By default, object storage has no limits, you can store any amount of files as long as there is money in your balance to pay for the storage.

To control the amount of data downloaded and resource consumption, you can set a limit on the amount of data that is stored in all project containers. Limits for a particular container can be set separately, see the Container Limits instructions for details.

If the limit is set:

  • when 90% of the storage space from the set limit is occupied, a warning message will appear in the control panel;
  • when the limit is reached, a notification will appear in the control panel, and the repository will return an error when attempting to load objects. To continue downloading, free up space or increase limit.

Set limit

  1. In Control Panel, go to Object StorageLimits.
  2. Press Change Limit.
  3. Turn on the Maximum size toggle switch.
  4. Enter the limit value in gigabytes.
  5. Click Save.
