Delete object⁠

  1. In Control Panel, go to Object Storage → Containers.
  2. Open the container page.
  3. Open the Objects tab.
  4. From the object menu, click Delete Object.
  5. Enter a name for the object and click Delete.
  6. If you want to delete multiple objects, check each object and click Delete.

When storing an object, you cannot delete its segments in the service container — doing so will break the entire file.

To delete object with segments, delete the manifest file. To delete, use the API you used to load the object. The delete via control panel uses the Swift API.

If an object is loaded and deleted in different ways (for example, an object was loaded using the S3 API and deleted in the dashboard), the object segments may not be deleted, continue to be stored in a hidden container, and billed.
