Manage PTR records

A PTR record, or reverse resource record, allows you to give a name (domain) to an IP address. For example, mail servers check the PTR record of the sender's IP address.

Add PTR record⁠

  1. In Control Panel, go to Network Services → IP Addresses.
  2. From the IP address menu, select Add PTR.
  3. Enter a domain name (of the form example.com).
  4. Click Save.

Edit PTR record⁠

  1. In Control Panel, go to Network Services → IP Addresses.
  2. From the IP Address menu, select Edit PTR.
  3. Enter a new domain name (of the form example.com).
  4. Click Save.

Delete PTR record⁠

  1. In Control Panel, go to Network Services → IP Addresses.
  2. From the IP Address menu, select Delete PTR.
  3. Press Delete.
