Manage PTR records
A PTR record, or reverse resource record, allows you to give a name (domain) to an IP address. For example, mail servers check the PTR record of the sender's IP address.
Add PTR record
- In Control Panel, go to Network Services → IP Addresses.
- From the IP address menu, select Add PTR.
- Enter a domain name (of the form
example.com
). - Click Save.
Edit PTR record
- In Control Panel, go to Network Services → IP Addresses.
- From the IP Address menu, select Edit PTR.
- Enter a new domain name (of the form
example.com
). - Click Save.
Delete PTR record
- In Control Panel, go to Network Services → IP Addresses.
- From the IP Address menu, select Delete PTR.
- Press Delete.
